American Indian Medical Scholarships

Each year the Ohio Society donates to the American Indian Medical Scholarship which is one of the NSCDA’s oldest programs. Hundreds of Native American women and men have used our resources to improve their own lives and the lives of countless families in their tribes and communities. This program gives students of American Indian decent the opportunity to pursue careers in nursing. The students are expected to return to work among their people to help improve health care. The program has expanded to include not only nursing careers, but jobs in health care and health education, as well.
